Elite Team Coaching

I know that a team isn’t simply a group of people who work together; a team is a group of people who trust each other, and our Elite Coaching Program for Teams reflects this reality. I help create the conditions that enable teams to succeed by ensuring they are tightly aligned on everything that matters so they can lead with courage, challenge each other, and most importantly, trust each other.

how it Works

The Elite Team Coaching Program consists of three main phases: Knowledge Gathering, Plan Building, and Action Taking.

  • Knowledge Gathering: Initial observation, one-on-one interviews, and assessments identify team dynamics and critical challenges.
  • Customized Coaching Plan: Information from the knowledge-gathering phase is used to create a 12-session, bi-weekly coaching program focused on the most vital challenges and opportunities.
  • Action Sessions: Bi-weekly, three-hour sessions are grounded in real-world challenges and backed by state-of-the-art research.
  • Culture Building: The program aims to establish a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and innovation.
  • Action-Oriented: Teams are expected to implement discussed ideas between sessions and report on progress, making the coaching immediately applicable.

"Rhett's bootcamp program was the best thing we have done for our management team."

Elite Accountability Groups

With years of experience in leading accountability groups, my team goes beyond facilitation—we practice what we preach. Our methods are backed by industry leaders like Marshall Goldsmith and Allan Mullaly, and inspired by our inclusion in Goldsmith's prestigious 100 Coaches program. Specializing in adult learning and behavior change, we provide an accountability framework that drives real, lasting progress, empowering you to meet your most challenging goals.

How it Works

The Elite Accountability Group program sharpens your team's focus on key personal and professional objectives. More than that, it provides the tailored support you need to conquer your most ambitious goals.

  • Accountability Plan Review (APR): The core of our coaching process is a facilitated peer-group accountability structure using my company's proprietary APR System.
  • Clarity on Goals: You get support to develop your key goals that will move you forward professionally and personally
  • Weekly Meetings: Groups of six to eight colleagues convene weekly to review and discuss challenges, opportunities, and plans, fostering a supportive, trust-based environment.
  • Candid Discussions: Participants freely discuss their decisions and are met with insightful questions and resources from their peers, enhancing leadership effectiveness and achieving better results.
  • Facilitated by Expert Coach: For the first six months, an experienced and trained coach on my team sets the tone, guides discussions, and ensures productive meetings, laying the foundation for independent group operation.
  • Transition to Self-Sufficiency: By the seventh month, most groups have gained the skills and confidence to continue these accountability sessions independently.

"Being a part of the Accountability group was an absolute game changer for me personally and professionally. Rhett modeled the power and significance of relationships in achieving our goals. We cannot do it alone. He took a collection of people where the only ‘through line’ was our participation and turned us into a network of supporters, listeners, challengers and cheerleaders.  We showed up for each other in our brightest and darkest moments as entrepreneurs and that has made all the difference."

Frequently Asked Questions

Team coaching is for any group looking to improve performance, cohesiveness, and effectiveness. It's especially valuable for teams facing new challenges, undergoing transitions, or seeking to break through existing performance plateaus. This could include corporate groups wanting to optimize productivity, sports teams striving for peak performance, or project teams aiming for successful delivery within tight deadlines. It's also well-suited for executive teams, cross-functional teams, remote teams, or teams that span multiple hierarchical levels within an organization. Team coaching can provide members the structure and insights needed to align on shared goals, improve communication, and develop the collaborative skills essential for success in today's fast-paced, complex environments.

During a team coaching engagement, you're likely to gain insights into various aspects of your team that can help you function more effectively. This can include understanding the different communication styles and preferences within the group, identifying individual and collective strengths and weaknesses, and uncovering unspoken assumptions or conflicts that may hinder performance. You'll also get a clearer picture of the team's dynamics, such as how decisions are made, how responsibilities are distributed, and how well the team adapts to change. The coaching process often reveals the underlying values and motivations that drive team members, which can be invaluable for fostering alignment and commitment. Additionally, you'll likely develop a shared language and tools for discussing challenges, solving problems, and holding each other accountable, enabling sustained improvement and cohesiveness.

Embracing the digital era, most of my work is conducted via Zoom, offering convenience and flexibility without compromising quality. However, I acknowledge that certain situations may necessitate a more personal touch. Therefore, I would expect that to get optimal results for the team that it will require face-to-face interactions and meetings.

Team Coaching with me aims to provide significant ROI. While the exact figures may vary, clients often see substantial improvements in their leadership abilities, decision-making skills, and overall performance, leading to better business outcomes. The benefits extend beyond the team being coached, with positive impacts often observed in team productivity, employee engagement, and organizational culture. As these changes can lead to increased profitability and improved business performance, the ROI from coaching can be considerable.

Like executive coaching our team coaching process begins with an assessment phase, where the coach and client establish the client's goals, challenges, and current skill levels. Next, a personalized coaching plan is developed to target the areas needing improvement. The process typically includes one-on-one sessions, which can be conducted in-person or virtually, where strategies and techniques for improved leadership are discussed and practiced. The process is collaborative and dynamic, with adjustments made based on the teams progress and changing needs.
